- Before check клапанных backlashes check up reliability of a tightening of nuts of fastening of covers of basic bearings of a camshaft. If necessary tighten nuts with effort of 25 Nanometers.

- Insert щуп between a cam of a camshaft and an adjusting washer and check up a backlash in conformity with requirements of Specifications in the Head of Adjustment and car routine maintenance.

- Mark position of a pulley of a cranked shaft opposite to label ВМТ. Turn a cranked shaft on a half-turn in a direction of rotation of the engine. In position ВМТ now there is a following piston. According to sequence of ignition 1-3-4-2, it is the third cylinder. Numbers of cylinders go one after another from the first on the fourth. The cylinder 1 is at a pulley of a gear belt. - Turn a cranked shaft so that the top of a cam of a camshaft over the adjustable valve has been turned upwards.

- Turn a valve pusher so that the pusher groove has been turned forward.
- The klapannyj backlash is regulated by selection of adjusting washers. For this purpose press a pusher special adaptation OPEL-KM-650.

- Take out an adjusting washer from a pusher and by means of a magnet.
- Define a thickness of the established adjusting washer by means of a micrometer and write down result of measurement. The thickness of a washer should be engraved on its bottom party.
- Calculate a thickness of a new adjusting washer under formula N = T + (A - S), where N - a thickness of a new adjusting washer, T - a thickness of the removed adjusting washer, And - the measured value клапанного a backlash, and S - demanded by Specifications (in the Head of Adjustment and car routine maintenance) value клапанного a backlash.

Adjusting washers can be applied, as a rule, repeatedly, there will be no yet clearly visible wear tracks. If marks of a thickness of a washer are not visible any more washer to apply further do not follow. |
- Moisten new adjusting in impellent oil and establish a washer marks downwards.
- In the way described above adjust all клапанные backlashes.
