Check of a condition of components

Every year

The wide spectrum of engine failures is connected with infringement of functioning of system of cooling. On the models equipped АТ, the given system provides also cooling ATF, supporting thereby optimum conditions for transmission work.

Check of a condition of components of system of cooling should be made after full cooling of the power unit (not less than in three hours after an engine stop).

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Uncover a broad tank. The cooling liquid being in system should be concerning transparent. If the liquid is painted in colour of a rust, the system should be washed out and filled by a fresh mix (see the Head of System of cooling of the engine, salon and air conditioning heating). If liquid level does not reach top, add in a radiator of a little more mix of demanded structure (the Section of Check of levels of liquids see).
  2. Attentively examine top and bottom радиаторные hoses together with hoses of system of heating of the salon, having smaller diameter and located between the power unit and a partition of an impellent compartment. Check hoses on all their length and in case of revealing of cracks, swellings and signs of ageing of a material make replacement of defective components. The rubber softening testifies to the beginning of its destruction as a result of ageing.

 

 

 

Too hard tightening of a collar for the purpose of more reliable fixing on the union/branch pipe of the hardened hose does not promote the leak termination, and only leads to destruction of a material of a hose.

 

 

  

 

Check all hoses on presence of swellings and traces of infiltration of oil at end faces. Cracks and small breaks in rubber come to light at сжимании a hose is easier


Composers of the present Management recommend to make replacement of hoses approximately time in two years without dependence from their condition.

  1. Check up reliability of fastening of all hoses on the unions/branch pipes. Leaks of a cooling liquid usually are shown in a kind потеков rusty or white colour on surfaces surrounding their source. If hoses are fixed on unions/branch pipes by collars of braided type, it will be reasonable to replace the last more reliable worm or screw.
  2. Having blown compressed air, or by means of a soft brush, remove from backlashes between plates of the heat exchanger of a radiator old leaves, remains of insects and other dust. Try not to damage soft plates of the heat exchanger and not to cut about their keen edges fingers.
