Removal

Turn out bolts of fastening of back wheels, поддомкратьте a back of the car and establish it on props. Remove back wheels. Release a lay brake. On models Corsa B and Tigra remove a screw-driver a nave cover. Unbend flat-nose pliers lock шплинт and take out it, give an adjusting nut. Remove a brake drum. Thus watch that the press washer and the external bearing have not fallen. On model Combo turn out the lock screw of a brake drum and remove a drum If the drum is strongly linked to an aligning fillet of a nave, slightly knock on it with a plastic hammer. The bearing of a wheel of model Combo is in a separate nave whereas on other models considered in the present Management, the wheel bearing is directly in a brake drum. Check up a condition of an internal working surface of a drum, in case of revealing of furrows or deep scratches replace drums of both brake mechanisms. Insignificant defects can be eliminated a way проточки a drum provided that the maximum admissible size of its diameter will not be exceeded.

Both drums are subject проточке on identical depth. Composers of the present Management recommend after проточки to make drums replacement of brake boots.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

On models Corsa B and Tigra rearrange serviceable bearings of wheels from old brake drums in new (see Has undressed Removal and installation of brake boots). On models Corsa B and Tigra establish brake drums and adjust a backlash of bearings of wheels (the Section Replacement of brake overlays of drum-type brakes see). On model Combo clear a carving aperture for the lock screw and if necessary cautiously pass its tap. Grease the lock screw with fixing hermetic, for example, OPEL 1510177. Establish a brake drum on a nave so that the aperture for the lock screw coincided with an aperture in a nave. Screw the lock screw and tighten it with effort of 4 Nanometers. Grease with a thin layer of greasing aligning corbels of brake drums. Establish back wheels, lower the car on the earth and tighten bolts of fastening of wheels cross-wise with effort of 110 Nanometers. Press a brake pedal approximately 20 25 times so that it was not audible any more a clicking of the adjusting lever. It means that brake колодки have occupied the working position. Adjust a lay brake (the Section Adjustment of a drive of a lay brake see). Check up level of a brake liquid in the tank and if necessary, add it to mark MAX.
