Removal, service and installation of wheel cylinders of drum-type brake mechanisms of back wheels

In case of occurrence of leaks of a brake liquid wheel cylinders are subject to replacement without fail. Manufacturers do not recommend to undertake attempt of carrying out of regenerative repair of the given knots of brake mechanisms.



  1. Prop up forward wheels противооткатными boots. Поддомкратьте a back of the car also establish it on props.
  2. Remove a brake drum and boots (see Has undressed Removal, check of a condition and installation of a brake drum).
  3. Clear the wheel cylinder and surfaces surrounding it of a dirt.

  5. Remove the top coupling spring and dissolve in the parties brake boots, having liberated them from pistons.

If on frictional overlays of brake boots there are traces of a hydraulic liquid, it is necessary to replace boots, and a working surface of a drum carefully to smooth out.

  1. Make sure of absoluteness of cleanliness and dryness of interfaced surfaces of the cylinder and a brake board. Dissolve boots, establish the cylinder on the regular place and connect to it a hydraulic line, - yet do not tighten штуцерную a nut.
  2. Screw fixing bolts and strongly them tighten, - now штуцерная a nut it is possible it is definitively tightened. Clean enclosed under a cover of tank GTTS polyethylene.
  3. Fill boots in flutes of pistons and establish into place the top coupling spring.
  4. Establish to the place of a brake drum (see Has undressed Removal, check of a condition and installation of a brake drum).
  5. Pump over brake system (the Section Prorolling of brake system see), - it is enough to pump over only that contour which cylinder acted in film.
  6. Make adjustment приводного a cable of a lay brake. Also establish into place a control lever cover.
  7. Before to start car operation, make sure of serviceability of functioning of brakes.
