At work in an impellent compartment it is necessary to mean that the radiator fan can independently join at the switched off engine and the included ignition (position of "II" ignition key). Owing to processes of a heat-conducting path taking place in an impellent compartment, it can repeatedly occur. Therefore, whenever possible, at work in an impellent compartment it is necessary to switch off ignition. |

It is not necessary to forget that fuel is an inflammable liquid in the higher measure! At work with power supply system components observe all taken measures of fire safety. Do not smoke, do not come nearer to a place of work with open fire or the redurable not protected by a lamp shade. Do not make system service in the premise equipped working on natural gas and heating devices equipped with a control torch (such as водогреи and dryers for clothes). Do not forget that fuel is among the cancerogenic substances promoting development of a cancer. Try not to suppose fuel hit on open sites of a body, - use protective rubber gloves, at casual unforeseen contact carefully wash out hands warm water with soap. Depending on year of release and the equipment vacuum hoses and hoses of system of cooling can have various lines of a lining. It is recommended to mark before dismantling of connections by their sticky tape. Further engine S14SE removal is described. Operations with other engines are made similarly. |

- Tyre out the car on an equal horizontal platform with firm enough covering. Remove a cowl (the Body see the Head). Result forward wheels in rectilinear position, take a key from the lock of ignition and block a steering column.
- Remove the storage battery (with. The head of System of an electric equipment of the engine).

Owing to switching-off of the storage battery the information from memory, for example, DTC or an audiosystem code is erased. The battery disconnect only at the switched off ignition. Otherwise it is possible to damage the block of management of injection. |
- Remove the air filter with submitting hose (see the Head of the Power supply system, release and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases).
- Merge cooling liquid in pure capacity.
- Disconnect all hoses of system of cooling from a radiator. Preliminary ослабьте collars also displace them back.
- Separate a socket of the electric motor of the fan and disconnect burn down electroconductings from an air inlet sleeve.
- Turn out fixing bolts of a sleeve of an air inlet and, having taken out it upward from the holder, remove from a radiator.

- Remove all vacuum hoses from a branch pipe throttle заслонки.

- Separate sockets of injectors and take burn down electroconductings aside.
- Disconnect hoses of a cooling liquid from a broad tank and remove it.
- Disconnect hoses of a heater from branch pipes on a partition of an impellent compartment.

- Remove скобу from a cable of a drive of coupling and disconnect a cable from a clutch lever.

- Separate a socket of the switch of a lantern of a backing (the marksman at the left on an illustration).
- Mark submitting and returnable fuel hoses not to mix their places at assemblage. Press hoses clips. Disconnect the holder of fuel hoses at the inlet pipeline and remove them. Following fuel collect rags.

- Disconnect a speedometer from a transmission.
- Mark with a tape all electroconducting going to the engine and disconnect it.
- At a complete set of the car system GUR ослабьте a tension of a V-shaped belt also remove it (see the Head of Adjustment and car routine maintenance).
- At a corresponding complete set turn out bolts of fastening and remove pump GUR from the holder on the block of cylinders and, without disconnecting from the pump hoses, tie up its wire so that it did not disturb to the further dismantling and that hoses have not been tense.

- Mark position of a corresponding forward wheel concerning its nave that then it was possible to establish the balanced wheel in its former position. Ослабьте bolts of fastening of a wheel at the car standing on the earth. Поддомкратьте car redock, establish it on props and remove a forward wheel.
- Remove the lever of a gear change from a rod on a transmission. For this purpose ослабьте a collar on the lever. Preliminary mark both parts so that at assemblage they could be established in former position.

- Disconnect electroconducting from the generator and a starter (see the Head of System of an electric equipment of the engine).
- Disconnect from a final collector a reception pipe, remove it from holders and incline aside.
- Take out on the right and at the left from rotary fists spherical support. Preliminary turn out tightening bolts.
- Disconnect from a body forward cross-section levers.
- Give bolts of fastening and remove the holder of draught of a forward suspension bracket from a cross-section beam of a forward stretcher together with draught and the stabilizer of cross-section stability.

- Beat out from the transmission case both power shaft.
- Establish under the engine the lift and slightly raise the power unit. It is possible to take advantage also of the elevating device, having hooked on it for elevating eyes of the engine. Raise the engine so that to unload its both top support.
- Give bolts of fastening and remove blocks of amortisation of the engine from a longitudinal beam of a forward frame and from the engine. On an accompanying illustration the forward left block of amortisation on cars without systems GUR or К/В is shown.

- Check up, that all hoses have been disconnected from the engine, electroconducting and other lines.
- Cautiously lower the engine with a transmission from an impellent compartment.
- Disconnect a transmission from the engine (the Manual 5-step box of a gear change or Automatic 4-step transmission see the Head).

Installation
|
- Check up engine support, hoses of system of cooling, oil and fuel hoses on presence of cracks or other damages and if necessary replace corresponding parts. Cautiously pass a tap a carving in apertures of a beam of a forward frame to remove the hermetic rests.
- Check up a thickness of a conducted disk of coupling, and also a condition of frictional overlays. At considerable deterioration or the big run replace a conducted disk in the complete set. If the bearing of deenergizing of coupling by pressing of a pedal of coupling publishes noise, replace the bearing.
- Clear the bearing of deenergizing of coupling and grease шлицы with a thin layer of greasing MoS2.
- Connect a transmission to the engine (the Manual 5-step box of a gear change or Automatic 4-step transmission see the Head).
- By means of the elevating equipment cautiously enter the engine with a transmission into an impellent compartment. Level the engine with support and tighten fastening bolts.
- Shake the engine every which way.
- Preliminary having cleared a brush a carving of fixing bolts of the block of amortisation of the engine and having greased with its hermetic OPEL-90 167 347/15 10, tighten them with demanded efforts.
- Insert both power shafts into the transmission case against the stop.
- Establish into place cross-section levers, draughts and the stabilizer (the Suspension bracket and a steering see the Head).
- Connect generator and starter electroconducting (see the Head of System of an electric equipment of the engine).
- Establish system of release of the fulfilled gases in rubber support and fix bolts with effort of 25 Nanometers to a final collector.
- Put on the gear change lever a rod and level the labels put at removal.
- Check up adjustment of the mechanism of a gear change (the Manual 5-step box of a gear change or Automatic 4-step transmission see the Head).
- Establish into place forward wheels and level the labels put at removal. Screw bolts of fastening of wheels. Lower the car on the earth and tighten bolts cross-wise with effort of 110 Nanometers.
- Fix a speedometer shaft on a transmission.
- Attach a cable of a drive of coupling, establish скобы.
- Connect electroconducting of a lantern of a backing.
- Put on heater hoses unions on a partition of an impellent compartment and fix hoses collars.
- Connect fuel hoses according to the marks put earlier and fix their collars. The hose of giving of fuel should be put on a corresponding pipe far enough. Watch that collars did not concern adjacent elements. Fix fuel hoses on holders at a final collector.
- Put on a vacuum hose on the amplifier of brakes and check up reliability of connection.
- Fix the tank of a cooling liquid on a partition of an impellent compartment. Connect hoses of system of cooling and fix their collars.
- Connect sockets of a plait of electroconducting of the engine.
- Connect gauges of temperature and pressure of impellent oil.
- Connect sockets of injectors and fix burn down electroconductings.
- Attach a drive throttle заслонки to the case of a throttle and check up its adjustment (see the Head of the Power supply system, release and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases).
- Fix a reception funnel of air in holders on a radiator.
- Connect a socket of the electric motor of the fan and the thermostat. Fix burn down electroconductings.
- Connect a ljambda-probe socket.

It is necessary to lay electroconducting as it is possible further from the fan. |
- Attach to a radiator the top and bottom hoses and fix their collars.
- Establish a hose of giving of air and the air filter. Thus clear the air filter and its case, if necessary replace the filter (see the Head of the Power supply system, release and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases).
- At a corresponding complete set fix pump GUR on the holder. Put on a V-shaped belt (see the Head of Adjustment and car routine maintenance).
- Connect a negative wire of the storage battery.

The battery attach only at the switched off ignition. The block of management of injection system otherwise can be damaged. |
- Check up quality of a cooling liquid and fill in it in cooling system (see the Head of Adjustment and car routine maintenance).
- Allow to the engine to cool down and check up level of a cooling liquid. Check up all connections of hoses on leaks.
- Check up and if necessary modify oil level in transmissions.
