Reduction of the piston of the first cylinder in position of the top dead point of a step of compression (ВМТ)

Order of performance of procedure

All engines

Reduction of any of pistons in position ВМТ is made by проворачивания a cranked shaft of the engine.

If to take a detached view of the engine of drive ГРМ, the direction clockwise will be a normal direction of rotation of a cranked shaft.

Remember that attempt проворачивания a shaft counter-clockwise can lead to infringement of adjustments of phases газораспределения. The first is the cylinder, extreme from outside drive ГРМ.

Disconnect a negative wire from the battery. For the purpose of simplification проворачивания the engine turn out all spark plugs.

For the purpose of providing of access to label ВМТ on cogwheels of camshafts, uncover drive ГРМ (see Has undressed Removal and installation of camshafts).

Engines of 1.0 and 1.2 l

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. By means of the key which has been put on a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft, turn last in a direction of normal rotation so that label ВМТ (2) on a pulley stood opposite to inflow (1) on case GRM.

Adjusting labels ВМТ

  1. At performance of the conditions listed in the previous paragraph the engine will be resulted in position ВМТ of the end of a step of compression of the piston of the first cylinder.

Engines of 1.4 and 1.6 l

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. By means of the key which has been put on a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft, turn last in a direction of normal rotation before deployment of cogwheels of camshafts by adjusting labels (2) to each other and coincided with the top edge of a head of cylinders. The label (3) on a rim of a cogwheel of a cranked shaft thus should be combined with a label (4) on the bottom cover of a gear belt.

  1. At performance of the conditions listed in the previous paragraph the engine will be resulted in position ВМТ of the end of a step of compression of the piston of the first cylinder.
