Removal and installation of the back shock-absorber

Models Corsa B and Tigra

Proceeding from a suspension bracket design it is necessary to remove only at first one shock-absorber, and then another.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Uncover in facing of salon and give a nut of a protective casing of a dome of the shock-absorber.

  1. Give the top nut of fastening of the shock-absorber, keeping its rod a wrench from проворачивания.
  2. Remove a cup of a spring and the rubber shock-absorber.
  3. Поддомкратьте a back of the car also establish it on props.

The top rubber emphasis can be replaced without removal of all shock-absorber. For this purpose release a support and slightly поддомкратьте the car.

  1. Give the bottom nut of fastening of the shock-absorber.

  1. Remove the shock-absorber.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check up the shock-absorber (the Section Dismantling, check and assemblage of an amortisation rack see).
  2. Put on the new shock-absorber a protective casing and the plug.

They are not included into the complete set of delivery of the new shock-absorber.

  1. Enter the shock-absorber from below into a dome.
  2. Establish the shock-absorber from below in the holder on the console of a back axis. If necessary take advantage of a plastic hammer.
  3. Level apertures in an eye of the shock-absorber and in the holder. With a plastic hammer accurately hammer against the stop a bolt of fastening of the shock-absorber. Tighten a bolt with effort of 70 Nanometers.
  4. Slowly lower the car, entering thus the shock-absorber into a dome.
  5. From a luggage space establish on the shock-absorber the rubber buffer and a cup and tighten a nut with effort of 20 Nanometers, keeping a wrench a rod of the shock-absorber from проворачивания.
  6. Put on a protective casing of a dome of the shock-absorber.
  7. Insert a cover into salon facing.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Поддомкратьте a back of the car also establish it on props.
  2. By means of a jack unload the back shock-absorber.
  3. Turn out the bottom bolt of fastening of the shock-absorber and take out the shock-absorber from the holder.

  1. Turn away the top bolt of fastening of the shock-absorber and remove the shock-absorber.

Отдавание the top bolt of fastening

  1. Establish the shock-absorber and tighten both bolts of fastening with effort of 70 Nanometers.
  2. Clean a jack and lower the car.
