Check and replacement of the gauge of temperature of the engine

The temperature gauge takes temperature of the engine and informs it ECM. The gauge contains an element which resistance decreases at temperature growth. If value of temperature reaches some bottom border, the error message 14 follows; at excess of the top border the error 15 is displayed. ECM in this case as spare value uses temperature ОЖ equal +80 hailstones. This value corresponds to the warm engine and at low ambient temperatures and the cold engine leads to problems of start and rough work of the engine. |

- Separate a socket of electroconducting of the gauge of temperature of the engine and turn out the gauge from the inlet pipeline.

On the engine capacity of 82 h.p. the gauge will screw of 1.4 l in a head of cylinders under the module of ignition DIS. On engines DOHC of 1.4 and 1.6 l the gauge is from outside a gear belt of drive ГРМ. |
- Measure electric resistance between contacts of the gauge and compare the received values to requirements of Specifications in the Head of the Power supply system, release and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases.

- If resistance does not correspond to requirements of Specifications in the Head of the Power supply system, release and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases, replace the gauge.
- If the gauge is serviceable, screw it with a new sealing ring with effort of 20 Nanometers.
- Include ignition and measure pressure between gauge contacts. It should make 5 0.1 V.Esli pressure is absent, check up electroconducting according to the electric scheme (the Onboard electric equipment see the Head).
- If electroconducting and the gauge are serviceable, means is faulty ECM.
- Fill system of cooling and remove from it air (see the Head of System of cooling of the engine, salon and air conditioning heating).
- Make a small trip on the car and check up connection of the gauge of temperature on leaks, if necessary tighten it a little.
