Power shafts Power shafts - the general information From lateral gear wheels of differential the twisting moment developed by the engine is transferred to forward (leading) wheels by means of two power shafts of unequal length. Each shaft is equipped by the internal and external hinge of equal angular speeds (SHRUS). Pins of external hinges are supplied шлицами, providing a joint coupling with wheel naves. From lateral aspect of naves of a pin of hinges are fixed big ступичными by nuts. Internal hinges also by means of шлицов are entered into sliding connection with lateral gear wheels of differential and fixed by means of lock rings.
